Blake, of Welsh, German and Irish backgrounds, is the only child of Dallas and Dinah Lewis - Dinah was a former rocker, yet still sings and plays guitar. He attended Kenmore Junior High and Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Washington.
In January of 2007, the first of many appearences week after week on American Idol aired, as Blake's Seattle audition first aired. Not only did Blake get to showcase his amazing beatboxing talent, he sang a cover of Seal's song, "Crazy". He made into the Hollywood round, where Thomas Lowe, Rudy Cardenas, Chris Sligh and Blake, himself, performed "How Deep Is Your Love", which as Paula stated, "brought down the house." All four made it to the next round.
Throughout the remainder of the competition, Blake made it all the way to the Finale, where he came in second place, with Jordin Sparks crowned as the American Idol Season Six winner. On his amazing journey, he amazed thousands of people around the World with performances of songs like "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Virtual Insanity", "All Mixed Up", Time of the Season", "Somewhere Only We Know" and many more.
After American Idol ended, Blake and the other top ten finalists of American Idol's sixth season hit the round for a national tour. Blake, not suprisingly, had a large amount of audiences on their feet in complete adoration for his talent. Blake, currently is working on his first solo album with a major recording label.
